  • I was chatting with Janice today while I was helping make 1000 apple dumplings ( we got 14 less because of bad apples. This is for a fund-raiser for Greenwood Mennonite School ). Anyhow, she was talking about the Lord returning soon... how events in the world are shaping up for His imminent return...True we are not to set dates. But, as she mentioned, don't you think God is just tickled when his children are getting excited about coming Home... wondering when it will happen, when the Lord will come with a shout and take us Home!!!!

It is interesting how "unfashionable" it is to talk or preach on the second coming of Christ.  Remember the revival meetings when at least one sermon in the two week long meetings would be on "The Second Coming"?  We have been lulled into a numb independancy that will catch us "not watching" if something doesn't change.  And we ought to be eagerly looking forward to it! Just think!!!  Home Free!  Eventually.   (And probably a lot quicker than we could ever imagine!)

Thanks again for your wonderful help over the last few days.  This day has been so much more "do-able" because of hour help.

And I wonder if we won't have many many surprises "among" all this "home going". I can't wait to see it unfold.

but am I really living as if it's actually happening?????????????????
I am amazed how much time and energy we put into "doing things well" on earth.... but what about the after????? Are we ready... do we know... are we searching???? I got ways to go. But am so grateful it's something to look forward to and not fear.

Jesus said in Luke 21:28 "When these things begin to take place, stand up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."  Sounds good to me.
